Kacey Keen

Biography:
Mr. Kacey Keen began his career in education in 2007 while serving as a teacher in Burkina Faso, West Africa. During his three years in Burkina Faso, Mr. Kacey developed a deep love of teaching and learning. He continued this passion when he joined a well-renowned elementary and middle school in New York City in 2012. During his time there, Mr. Kacey served as a 3rd grade teacher, 8th grade Algebra teacher, Dean of Students, and Assistant Principal. As a 3rd grade teacher, his students achieved 93% passing on the New York State ELA Exam and 95% passing on the New York State Math Exam and as an 8th grade Algebra teacher, 98% of his students passed the New York State Algebra Regents Exam. Mr. Kacey left the school in 2018, when he moved to Kenya to become the Director of Academic Operations for for a network of schools in Nairobi. Upon his transition back to New York, Mr. Kacey joined an elementary school in Brooklyn in 2019 as the Academic Director for grades 3-5. Mr. Kacey became a Principal Resident of the school in March 2021 and Principal in January 2022. He holds a Master of Education degree in International Education Policy from the Harvard Graduate School of Education and a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Economics and Development from the University of North Texas.
